Welcome to Kids Up Front Foundation
Across Canada, Kids Up Front creates fun and new experiences for kids, by forwarding your unused tickets. If you Can't Use Your Tickets, donate them to us and we'll make sure they reach the thousands of kids who could really benefit from them. Together, we're helping to heal, bond and unite.
KIDS UP FRONT EXCEEDS $10 MILLION IN TICKET DONATIONS
Almost 400,000 once-in-a-lifetime experiences distributed
to kids across Canada
Kids Up Front Foundation has exceeded $10 million in donations of event tickets – a total of 394,245 tickets distributed to children through more than 400 community service agencies in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto since 2000.
Kids Up Front is a national initiative that provides at-risk children and youth with access to sports, entertainment and cultural events through the distribution of unused tickets.
The organization was founded by former Calgary businessman John Dalziel, who wanted to fill the empty seats he saw at sports events, theatrical productions and concerts with kids and families who wouldn’t normally have the chance to attend.
Said Dalziel: “Giving kids exposure to great theatre, music and sports is an investment in their futures as well as a fun day out.”
Tickets are donated to Kids Up Front by individuals, event organizers, corporate supporters and the public.
Corus Entertainment was instrumental in opening Kids Up Front’s doors by providing support in each city.
“Kids Up Front recognizes the need to give children opportunities to discover, dream and see possibilities,” said Heather Shaw, Executive Chair, Corus Entertainment Inc. “The possibilities provided by a ticket are truly limitless and Corus Entertainment is proud to be a founding sponsor of Kids Up Front.”
